We are proud to be a part of the local Coldwater community. Below we’ve shared just a few of the ways we reach out. If you’re interested in partnering with us in our community involvement efforts, please contact us.
In an effort to affect a paradigm shift and take control of our future, the Lincoln Electric Coldwater facility team works with the local high schools, and vocational schools to support training students into skilled trades and engineering fields. Support to the local schools has been through monetary and equipment donations. This facility has also been active in promoting skilled trades via school tours and job shadowing opportunities for STEM and Skilled Trades groups.
We are playing an active part in working with the Mercer/Auglaize county economic development in further developing our workforce. By supporting the local schools in the Coldwater area, Lincoln Electric Automation is able to get our brand out to the students about our Apprenticeship Program, which is how we recruit students into our program.
Our Coldwater facility awards Engineering Scholarships totaling $12,000 each year through the Western Ohio Educational Foundation (WOEF) at the Lake Campus of Wright State University. To qualify for the Coldwater engineering scholarships, students must be high school graduates from the tri-county (Auglaize-Mercer-Darke) area pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering at the Lake Campus of Wright State University and who maintain a 2.8 GPA or higher.
